Welcome to BŪM!
The University of Michigan Buddhist Group offers a unique opportunity to bring together students from all walks of life to learn more about the Buddhist way of life. We are a fully student-run philosophical group that provides a safe and encouraging environment to explore and practice Buddhist principles. Through thoughtful discussion, meditation, and readings both modern and ancient, we provide students with an opportunity to learn and grow. We invite you to join us on this journey.
About Us
Our Mission
Buddhism at University of Michigan is a vibrant and inclusive College Club dedicated to exploring the teachings of Buddhism and promoting mindfulness on campus. Our club was established in 2022 by a group of passionate individuals who wanted to create a space for students to learn and practice Buddhism. We hold weekly meetings where we alternate between meditation sessions and engaging lessons on Buddhist philosophy. Additionally, we regularly invite guest speakers who share their wisdom and insights on various aspects of Buddhism and general well-being. We believe in fostering a sense of community and providing a supportive environment for personal growth and self-discovery. Join us on this transformative journey of self-exploration and inner peace.
